This worksheet involves Y1-3 students in decoding a hidden message through subtraction problems. They are designed for subtraction practice with added interest. This is a PDF file.
Coded Message 1 uses minuends (what you're taking away from) from 10-30 and subtrahends (what is taken away) from 1-9. The hidden message is "A loved cat is a happy cat".
