This lesson introduces the concept of unit vectors. Students learn to use the i, j, k notation to denote the components of vectors. Students then learn about unit vectors, in general, including how to construct them and how to interpret them. Finally, students see several applications of unit vectors, including net forces on an object and linear combinations of vectors. This lesson is meant for a Multivariable Calculus course, but it could be used in Geometry or Precalculus as part of a unit
