Sometimes children see fractions has always being the same size and shape…for example the ½ circle of the fraction circles we have in the classroom always is ½. But depends on the size of the whole..1/2 circle could become 1/3 depending on the arrangement and number of half-circles. It's only 1/2 when there are two parts.
