Inverse Trigonometric Functions Spring 2014 (includes Trigonometry Ratios Chart)

This worksheet is designed to replace a lecture on using the inverse trigonometric functions in right triangles. I include a trigonometric ratios chart (or SOH CAH TOA chart) with it, as I find it extremely helpful for students to have a separate chart to look up angles. I run the fourth page of this worksheet off as a separate handout and print it on a colorful sheet of paper for them so they can easily find it. I start out class with a 15-minute "mini-lesson," giving my students some basic

This worksheet is designed to replace a lecture on right triangle trigonometry, which some call "SOH CAH TOA." It is a three-page worksheet, but the fourth page is a trigonometric ratios chart, which I recommend you photocopy on a separate, colorful sheet of paper for each student, as it comes in handy when they are both looking up trigonometric ratios, as well as when they are trying to do inverse trigonometric functions. I start out class with a 15-minute "mini-lesson," giving my students so

Trigonometry teachers - this is a very useful tool for my students, even in this day and age of handheld calculators! This chart has the sine, cosine, and tangent of every whole-numbered angle from 0 to 90 degrees. I find it invaluable for my students to use this chart at first, and then they realize that the buttons on their calculator really help save time. Furthermore, when I introduce the inverse trigonometric functions, I use this chart before teaching how the inverse sine, cosine, and t
