Somtimes a simple regression function is not the best fit and creating a piecewise function is the better way to write an equation to fit data or a situation. Here is a project to help assess whether they understand how to create a piecewise funciton to model a scenario about a parachute jump or insurance rates. Included: a project with two scenarios and a rubric for each.
