So this year before we start our formal writing and using our BIU (bump it up) writing wall, I have made a BIU pencil grasp chart. We will use this in the same way we use our writing BIU. My daughter has ADD and it was suggested from the school counselor that she used a chore chart or schedule to help her keep track of her time. This is what I came up with to help with. It is a blank copy so that parents could add their own chores. It could also be used as a detailed schedule.
Behavior chart for young children. It can be printed and laminated for continued use when using it as a dry erase chart. This resource is completely editable: A name can be added at the title, and the color can be changed. Also, the pictures can be changed to provide a task that is more appropriate for the child.
The student is able to identify how they are feeling: happy, sad, or mad. The chart prompts them to explain why they are feeling that way.
To avoid making copies the chart can be placed in a sheet protector. This way it can be written on and wiped off each week. Documentation can be kept by dating and taking a photograph of the chart.
These charts can be used to keep track of the percentage of work that a student is completing in all subjects. I have used this in the past to document data for a behavior plan for work completion (RTI/MTSS). There are charts for 2 weeks up to 5 weeks. You can copy and paste the templates into a separate word document to record data for a specific student.
