Students must log their travel expenses, distances, and elapsed time. This lesson allows students to see the needs for budgeting, planning, and provides a wonderful introduction to the global perspective. Requirements can easily be adjusted to fit the needs of any class.

Read about the Pittsburgh-based tradition within the project and use websites of local bakeries to develop price quotes for the client. Students must use multiplication and online tools to complete this activity.
