It’s well known among educators that complex and abstract topics can be understood more easily (especially by younger students) when concepts are introduced visually. Visuals not only improve a student’s ability to understand how something works, but also help with retention. Furthermore, by seeing the “whole” of something, children are better able to understand the parts. Even more importantly, research shows that 3D-animated models are able to represent information in the most efficient m

Hello! This is a four question, plus a bonus, quiz on half sheets in Microsoft Word. It has an answer key. This is designed for a quick "flashback" after watching the video and should take less than 10 minutes to take and go over the answers. I use these in my classroom after every Bill Nye The Science Guy DVD that we watch. I grade it by making each question worth 25 points and the bonus (which never counts against you) worth 10. These are great to leave with a substitute!

Attention Getting Question: How can you turn a nail into a magnet? The answer is by using electromagnetic energy. Introduction: An electromagnet is a magnet that works only whenelectricityis provided. In an electromagnet, wire is coiled around iron or some other magnetic material. When an electric current flows through the wire, a magnetic field is created. Electromagnets are known as temporary magnets because they don’t have a magnetic field when the electricity stops flowing. This makes th
