This resource is very useful to students who are not accustomed to understanding the rounding process since they cannot mentally visualize the numbers. Students must realize that these two fractions are the SAME SIZE CIRCLES and GRIDS. That they are equivalent in shaded areas on each fraction.
I recommend to circle back and review every week for a month...quick review...reminder on equal areas...so there is sufficient repetition for students to ingrain a visual understanding of equivalent fractions.
