APUSH - Letter to Parents about AP Exam

This letter gives parents/guardians a little background info about the AP exam and provides a place for the teacher to give her determination on whether or not the student should take the exam (yes, no or maybe). This determination is based on assessing a student's exam/quiz history (Multiple Choice Qs, DBQs, SAQs, and LEQs) throughout the course. Parents are required to sign a section of the form and return it indicating whether or not their child will participate in the exam.

Attached with the expectations is a quiz you can have students take the next day to refresh them with your rules and to ensure they listened while discussing the expectations. The quiz and expectations are adjustable to your classroom. Its always a great idea to set down some rules about your space the first day to make sure you and your students are on the same page!
