I do STAR students in my classroom. At the end of each day, we have a circle and students nominate each other who should win the award. We focus on students who are responsible, respectful, safe, and kind. The student who wins the award for the day will get a certificate sent home and their name on the fancy board. We do this every day and it helps students stay focused and on task. It also promotes a strong community in the classroom since they nominate others for their hard work.
