This Reader's Theater is for 4 students. It is a twisted version of the Jack and the Beanstalk. In the script, Jack and his mother are very poor. One day Jack goes to sell the cow for some money to buy food. Bugs have eaten all of the food in their garden. On the way, he meets a man who trades him a sack of beans and some extermination equipment for his cow. Jack takes the equipment and kills all the bugs at their house.
