Introduction An indoor or outdoor play formal lesson for pre-school children should include both free and directed play activities. Free Play Activities-These are the freely chosen activities. The teacher provides materials and puts them at strategic places where they are easily accessible. The child decides what play to engage in and the materials to play with. This promotes the development of decision-making ability. The list of play and games that children can engage in freely is endless.
