Multiplication Whole Number Rules: Brochure
I created this tool to help my students build their independence and confidence when learning multiplication. It has been a total game changer! My students call it their “cheat sheet.” I’ve also included an anchor chart with strategies for multiplying as well as a multiplication chart for checking work. I hope this tool helps your students in your classroom, it’s so useful for introducing and reviewing multiplication!

These input/output task cards give students the opportunity to apply rules or patterns using any operation. Students apply the given two step rule to complete the function table. My kids love doing sudoku, but often times, I'm the one introducing them to the game. I usually go over how to do it as a class and give a few examples of my approach, but it can be a lot of information at once. It can be rough to sit down and help each child work through a puzzle on their own. I made this one-pager as a reference sheet when kids are just learning how. The goal was to explain my rationale for solving a puzzle as well as find a way to make it more visual, hence the color-coding.
