I created this math enrichment activity for my advanced 5th grade math group before the Super Bowl to use as an early finisher and problem solving activity at the end of their fractions unit. Sudoku One-Pager
My kids love doing sudoku, but often times, I'm the one introducing them to the game. I usually go over how to do it as a class and give a few examples of my approach, but it can be a lot of information at once. It can be rough to sit down and help each child work through a puzzle on their own. I made this one-pager as a reference sheet when kids are just learning how. The goal was to explain my rationale for solving a puzzle as well as find a way to make it more visual, hence the color-coding.
