This activity comes from Drawing on the Inventive Mind: Exercises in Thinking, Language and Self-Esteem by Jon Pearson. He works to encourage critical thinking and self-esteem in his book.
The worksheet here is used to pair with his lesson. I am using for a morning lesson for my class to work on thinking beyond what is right in front of you. Students will become better thinkers and have desire to want to know more. It will take some modeling to encourage students to think beyond what they can
