This printable activity is ready to use as a classroom activity, a quick, formative assessment, or a center activity. Students will find and color the shapes according to the legend at the top of the page. This is a Kindergarten standard (K.G.2) but can be used at the beginning of the year in first grade, in special education (think Alternative Assessments!) or even in the Pre-K classroom at the end of the year. Geometric Shapes Matching Game
Did you know that matching games help build visual discrimination, a skill needed for learning to read? This set of 9 geometric matching cards vary in both shape and color.
Start introducing 2 or 3 sets at a time by laying out 3 very different images and asking your child to find the match. Slowly increase the number of matches available until your child is able to successfully and easily match all nine images correctly.
Practice matching with all cards face up, pre-divided into two groups
