Math Contract - Calendars and Telling Time

A math contract consists of a grid of math activity choices based upon my math curriculum. My students are expected to complete 9-12 points on each weekly contract, and they should try complete at least one activity in every column. Use this radial web diagram to challenge students to think outside of the box. If the answer is "24", then what is the question? Students should be encouraged not to restrict their questions to only math. They can work individually on this activity or with a group. One example is already given.

Students will use a piece of dubble bubble gum to answer the questions: How much paper is wasted in wrapping dubble bubble gum? How much gum is in each piece of dubble bubble gum? I have 2 versions, one that details every step exactly and one that requires a little more thinking on the students' parts. I have also included an answer sheet, although answers will vary greatly with the actual measuring.
