Highly Effective Strategy for Teaching Right Triangles - FREEBIE!

Give students a transparent tool to help them label triangles! Students often have trouble labeling parts (such as x, 2x, a, b, c, opposite, adjacent, hypotenuse, etc) of triangles for Special Triangles, Pythagorean Theorem, and Trigonometry. To help my students do this correctly, I give each student a labeled triangle printed on transparency film. Then when students are working on one of these types of problems, they line up their transparency with the problem on their paper. They line up

This is in powerpoint format. Slide 1 is teacher notes. Slides 2 through 5 are what I use to teach proof strategies. slides 6-19 are handouts for students to complete - 1 proof per slide. I have students complete 3 per quarter. The first 2 are easy and then the proofs increase in difficulty. I use this in pre-calculus but it could also apply to a strong algebra 2 class or an ap calculus class. slide 20 shows an innovative way I have used to teach proof in the past with solutions on slide 21.

Systems of Linear Equations in 3D – Intersection Problems | Teaching BUNDLE MATH

Important note: All resources included in this bundle are also available as individual products. This complete bundle provides a fully aligned instructional unit on systems of linear equations in three-dimensional space, focusing on intersection problems involving lines and planes. It is designed for US-aligned high school geometry and precalculus courses. Students develop a clear and transferable strategy for translating geometric situations into systems of equations, solving them efficie

Sum and Difference Identities

I've been teaching trig for four years now, and with sum/difference identities, here's where the kids struggle: adding and subtracting fractions, multiplying radical expressions, and finding two numbers that add to a given angle measure. So, I created this scaffolded packet! With a partner, students work together to practice those key skills, then finally apply the sum and difference identities with the help of an embedded reference chart and a unit circle. This packet will be accessible for eve

🛑 Stop students from mixing up horizontal and vertical shifts forever. If your students struggle to remember the "Inside vs. Outside" rules or can’t visualize why f(x−2) moves to the right, this lesson bundle is the fix. Using a clear "Parent Function DNA" analogy and rigorous scaffolding, this resource moves students from basic identification to complex multi-step transformations and inverse modeling. Designed for a 90-minute block or two 45-minute periods, this isn't just a worksheet—it's a
