"The African Queen" is a film classic from 1951. The setting is East Africa at the beginning of World War I. German troops burn down a mission and the missionary's sister, Rosie, buries her brother and enlists an old dilapidated river steamboat, 'The African Queen' to get out of East Africa. 'The African Queen's' owner is Charlie Allnut, a heavy drinking, grumpy, grizzly but very capable boat pilot. Rosie and Charlie are polar opposites in all areas, including where the steamboat is going.
