This Mulitplication Challenge can be used to quiz your students on their multiplication facts. Print the quiz on the front and print the answer key --upside down-- on the back of the paper. This allows students to check thier own answers by simply folding the bottom or the top of the paper over to compare thier answers to the key. I use this timed quiz with my first grade students every Friday when we begin studying addition facts in the Everyday Math curriculum. Every week, students who score a certain number correct get their names added to the "I have Fact Power!" poster and are exempt from the following weeks' quizzes (many opt to take them anyway!) I find it really motivates my students to memorize and have quick recall of those pesky basic addition facts that are the foundation of so many higher-level math skills. T
