Students will learn to count money by using the money ladder. The ladder increases in increments of 5's or nickels. Students quickly learn that a dime is worth 2 nickels or 2 jumps on the ladder and a quarter is worth 5 nickels or 5 jumps on the ladder. Through repeated practice my students were able to count coins without using the ladder at all.
