Flat and Solid Shape Book

This is a great book for helping students learn the features of flat shapes and solids. This book allows the students to draw flat shapes and identify how many corners and sides they have. The students can also glue the pictures of solids and identify if the shape can roll, stack, or slide and identify how many vertices, faces and edges it has. If the pages are cut in half horizontally, the bottom half can be placed behind the top half for an ordered book! This also includes a table of contents.

Geometry: Is it a Quadrilateral (informal vocab)? - Drag & Drop Sorting Activity

Help students distinguish between geometrically defining attributes ( a quadrilateral is a closed flat shape with four straight sides and four corners) versus non-defining attributes (color, orientation, overall size) of QUADRILATERALS. Students will use their electronic device to view, analyze and sort (click, drag, & drop) ten figures as they move them into the graphic organizer. As students drag images down, a "Remember..." note that outlines the defining attributes of a quadrilateral wi
