This is hardly a new concept, but this is a group of German proverbs with pictures for students to use as keys to decode the meaning of the proverb. These slides have the day's date, which is easily editable, at the top of each. I cut and paste one to my daily SmartBoard notebook pages and we start off each class with the date and discussing the proverb. This is a visually appealing power point geared towards beginning language learners. Basic useful classroom phrases are accompanied by pictures to help learners decode meaning. The power point slides can be printed to use as mini posters for classroom display.
