A great introduction to how DNA is used as the code of life. It starts out relating DNA to other codes, like morse code, and then continues on to using the genetic code. This activity is a quick introduction (~15 min.) and can be used with or without any prior instruction. This could easily be adapted to use as an activity that can be put into interactive notebooks.
