Design a Beach Towel
Looking for a fun way to engage students in practicing area and perimeter skills? How about designing a beach towel? This project can be differentiated for a class of diverse learners and the combination of math and art will hold their attention. The finished product is great as a bulletin board display or as a desk display for a math night or other event. There are different options included as well as a rubric. Instructions and standards are included for third, fourth, or fifth grade.

5th Grade Math - Better Buy Letter - 1
This is a wonderful way for students to practice finding the better buy using a real-world example. Students will respond to a word problem written in letter format, asking for help finding the better buy. Students will respond to the letter, practicing letter-writing skills, as well as mathematical skills! Additionally, students will get to practice explaining their math thinking. This is a fun activity for 5th graders and 4th graders who want a bit of a challenge. Keep an eye on my TPT
