I love doing spooky music during the Halloween season, and "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg is perfect for this! In my classes from Pre-K through 2nd grade, we listened to the music, read the book by Allison Flannery, and then either color crowns (PK & K) or color and put together a flipbook with information about it (1st & 2nd). Practice Record Template for Band/Music Classes
This is my template for the practice records I use in my band classes. Feel free to edit the template as you see fit. The left-most column will likely have to be edited for your specific school calendar- I use those boxes so my students can separate the weeks and keep track of each week of the quarter using the dates. This template can be easily duplicated/copied for each quarter or could be expanded if you want to make it for a full semester/year.
