In this lesson students will learn more about decimals. ​ They will practice how to determine the place value of the digits within the decimal and why it is important to understand the place value of each digit when converting decimals to percent. ​ For example, does 0.1 represent 10% or 1%? This is used in my class as more of a warmup than a class- long activity. It's very short, but it includes the common decimals, percents, and fractions that these students need to know without much calculation. This is a simple three card match game. The student with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner. It also allows students to make up their own fraction matches.
