This PowerPoint is for 3rd Grade. It is the fourth lesson in teaching fractions and introduces number lines. Items covered in this lesson are: Review numerator, denominator, and unit fractions. Then students are introduced to number lines and why we use them with fractions. We discuss why the denominator doesn't change while the numerator does using the number line as a visual. Students count up and down the number line past 1. They will compare and contrast those fractions with the whole number
