Transpiration, Cohesion and Adhesion Investigation Labs will challenge your students to prove transpiration, cohesion, and adhesion are true scientific phenomena using two inquiry-based labs. The lesson includes background notes, inquiry lab with picture examples, data tables, student questions, and a student reflection. Materials needed are celery, water, plastic pipette (or dropper), water, dye, and a penny. This lesson is ideal for grades 6-12 and takes two class periods to complete.
