This unit was created using the Georgia Standards. There are also many reading comprehension sheets that can be assessed as a reading and social studies grade. The Unit includes a study guide that I printed out and put into folders to use as a resource throughout the study. This is also used for the research conducted during the unit study. There is enough and more than enough to teach all standards needed and to extend the knowledge of any child.

Students conduct an activity to determine the most effective way to control noise using shoe boxes and sound-absorbing materials. In groups, students will use one of 8 materials assigned by the teacher to sound-proof the inside of a shoebox.
