Classify, Describe, and Sketch Triangles Unit
This unit was designed for 4th Grade math students. It could be used for Advanced 2nd/3rd graders or as review/reteaching for 4th/5th graders. All pages are fully-editable in MS Word. See the preview for the first lesson and part of the quiz. This unit is hands-on. Each lesson includes directions for making and using a set of straws and pipe cleaners to construct various kinds of triangles. These can be made once and used over and over again - year after year - and in many other geometry units!

STEM Kid Engineering for GATE -- FERRIS WHEELS plus Primary Sources
In this GATE engineering journey, students will each construct a very cool Ferris wheel prototype as a final product. Along the way, they will examine primary source images, read primary source history, and integrate math, engineering, and economics in a learning process which incorporates best practices in gifted and talented education for 21st Century Learners.
