This is one of the essay tests that I use at the end of the health unit. In my unit, I do include the conditional and si clauses (which I think is fitting for Health, e.g. "If you ______, then ______", it's good for cause/effect with health habits) As a result, this test requires those items. Furthermore, the article is also pretty funny! This document is 4 pages of comprehension questions (arranged by section of the article) to

This is a mini-project in which students make a brochure (one of the IB written formats) about the cultural diversity in their school. Two things to know: 1. My high school is Poudre High School, so you'll have to change the part where it says "Lycée Poudre". 2. My school's actual motto is "UBUNTU", which comes up in the project, but it's a great cultural diversity lesson that can be applicable to any high school. UBUNTU is an African saying that translates to "I am who I am because of who we

I use this with my IB students to go over the different types of text types that IB may ask them to read or write in for the IB test, Paper 1 and 2. First, they have to write about what are essential components of each text type. Then they have to write key words in the target language that they would expect to see in that particular text type. This could also be used in any sort of upper level language class in which students are required to write in different styles and for different purpose

This is a quick-and-easy, 8-slide, ppt with 7 discussion questions concerning cultural diversity. Students are required to say "Je suis d'accord" or "Je ne suis pas d'accord" and give a reason why. I started this in partners, requiring 3 min. of conversation per topic. After we went through all the questions, students had to stand up, and I'd show each question again. There was a "d'accord" and a "pas d'accord" side of the classroom, and students had to go to the side that fit their opinion.
