French Speaking Project – Interview a Classmate (Presentation + Rubric)

This fully scaffolded French oral communication project guides students through interviewing a classmate and preparing a 3–5 minute creative presentation introducing them to the class (“Je vous présente…”). Students learn to ask questions, describe a person, use personality adjectives, talk about preferences, and communicate confidently in French. I always use this at the beginning of the year to get to know the students in addition to creating class room community. It's so wonderful seeing them
