Hi! I'm Amy, the creator behind Ivy & Chalk and a 5th grade math and science teacher currently living in South Carolina.
I've moved quite a bit over the years, giving me the opportunity to experience different schools, communities, and classrooms. Those experiences have shaped the way I teach and inspired me to create resources that are engaging, practical, and easy for teachers to use.
With 18 years of teaching experience, I know firsthand how valuable it is to have lessons that are effective, standards-aligned, and ready to use. Every resource in my store has been classroom-tested and created with real teachers in mind. I love designing activities that get students talking, thinking, moving, and genuinely excited about learning. From task cards and games to escape rooms, morning work, and print-and-go practice, my goal is to help you spend less time planning and more time teaching.
You may be wondering about the name Ivy & Chalk! Ivy is the name of my sweet golden retriever, and it also reflects my love of plants and bringing a little greenery into everyday spaces. Chalk represents my passion for teaching and the classroom. Together, the name perfectly captures the heart behind my store.
