Creative Teaching

This is my fourth year teaching. I taught K for one year and 2nd for 3 years. I am currently a K-2 teacher at a private school that a couple of colleagues and I founded! It's been an exciting year :) You can also check out my blog: www.msdurning.blogspot.com

I believe that learning needs to be hands-on, engaging, and meaningful. I support Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences because I truly do believe that nobody can learn the same way.

I attended Oneonta State where I obtained a degree in childhood education. I received my Master's degree at the University of Albany in literacy. I have the following NY certifications: early childhood B-2 childhood 1-6 literacy specialist B-6 literacy specialist 5-12

I have a dog Oliver, a cat Kloey, a kitten Ivy, and a new husband, Eric!
