The third week in September is Farm Animals Awareness Week and this unit is intended to introduce young children to the following animals: cow, pig, horse, sheep, and chicken. There is a cover sheet in case you would like to make it into a booklet, a large color picture, a list of facts, and two to three coloring pages for each animal. I taught for 38 years in Elementary Education. I retired in 2007.

Teaching style

I always followed the curriculum for our school but wrote my own units whenever possible. I was a hands on teacher and wanted my students to be thinkers and problem solvers.

BS Degree in Elementary Education. Took many graduate classes, especially in reading, math and computer. Participated in workshops, etc. whenever possible. Presented workshops in reading, math and computer.
