This a an activity for students to share their dreams for their city, their country, and their world. They write and draw a picture of their dreams and then put it all together with their own picture. Very interesting activity to hang on a bulletin board or in the hall. Mrs. R.

The third week in September is Farm Animals Awareness Week and this unit is intended to introduce young children to the following animals: cow, pig, horse, sheep, and chicken. There is a cover sheet in case you would like to make it into a booklet, a large color picture, a list of facts, and two to three coloring pages for each animal. This is a 28 page unit for reviewing math skills in a fun way during the month of November. Included are: Adding 10 to a number and explaining the pattern; Creating a Geometric Picture using just geometric shapes; a Multiplication Chart that they fill in and then look for and explain the patterns; adding 9 and multiplying 9 to numbers and explaining the patterns; a sheet to use for skip counting different numbers; finding differences with multiples of 10, without regroupin, and with regrouping;

This is a 7 page booklet for teaching the form of poetry known as Haiku. There is a cover page with an example, a page that explains Haiku with two examples, and 5 pages for students to write their own Haiku. Three pages show pictures for students to write about and two pages require students to draw a picture and then write their Haiku. I used springtime pictures but this unit could be used any time of the year. Mrs. R.

This is a 3 page guide for writing. It takes the students through the writing process: Prewriting, Writing a First Draft, Revising Your Work, Proofreading, and Writing a Final Draft. There is also a cover page to use in making a booklet. Mrs. R.
