Brain and Nervous System Disorders Project (Human Anatomy and Physiology)
This project can be used as part of a Brain and Nervous System unit. In the project students will select, from a provided list, a brain and nervous system disorder to study. Students are then given a detailed list of information to find on their disorder and are asked to present their findings using words and diagrams in either a poster or digital format. I have my students pick from a list of options for them to make a model of the brain, draw or sketch one, make a skit, bake a cake, make a collage, or have a 3 ply poster presentation. When I first started doing psych 10 years ago, I just did physical models, but some students did not like it, so I added options that still demonstrated the same mastery of content.
