Description

This is a GREAT resource for problem solving centers, guided math groups, partner work, formative or summative assessments, and much more. Teachers can use the problems for modeling, guiding, or independent instruction. Students can glue individual problems in their math journal or on a piece of paper for easy reference and grading.

The 2-step word problems in this set are based on Common Core Standards specifically focusing on all 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

When purchasing this resource, you will receive the following:

*1 set of Task Cards including 20 different word problems

*1 set of 20 different word problems with 10 of the same problem on a page for easy reproducing and cutting. This allows teachers to easily distribute the same problem to all students.

NOTE: There is a shape in the corner of each word problem which helps teachers to distinguish one problem from another and students will be able to see which problems they have already completed.

Use addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns; write an equation to express the total as a sum of equal addends.
Solve two-step word problems using the four operations. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
