This is a comprehensive layout of all the first grade standards to be taught for the whole school year. It will be make lesson planning so much easier! Standards are listed week by week for each quarter. This guide follows the Cobb County Schools 2014-2015 calendar, report card and content area pacing from the district. Important dates, such as testing dates, holidays, professional development days, and conference week, etc. are noted. Thankfully, there are no furlough days this year!
This guide includes math, science, social studies, reading, language, writing, and health standards. The standard numbers with description are indicated. For the more broad standards, I have indicated in bold font, the parts that are to be explicitly taught during mini-lessons for each given week. For the math standards, I indicated the quarters in which each standard is taught, so you will know when mastery of each skill is expected.
