Twenty-five 5th Grade Writing Prompt Task Cards! Fun and creative writing projects directly aligned to the 5th Grade Language Arts CCSS (Common Core) Standards, but suitable to any 5th grade curriculum. Great, no-prep writing center!

The prompts on these cards are fun, interesting and relevant to 5th grade students. Each prompt directs the student to complete a writing project following explicit directions that integrate important writing standard such as foreshadowing, using certain conjunctions and transitions to connect their ideas, adding sensory words, defending reasons and ideas, creating strong conclusions and much more.
I have also included a rubric to use for each prompt.
