Description

If your adult ESL students loved the emotional roller coaster of The Outsiders, they'll love S.E. Hinton's That Was Then, This Is Now.

The story's poignant exploration of friendship, moral complexities, and personal growth in the face of societal challenges resonates deeply with adult ESL students. Discussion questions practically marinate themselves in the story's narrative depth and exploration of moral gray areas, well seasoned with its honest depiction of the human experience in turbulent times. Honestly, just listening in on what your students have to say could be the very best part of your day.

So, while the book itself is thought-provoking, these discussion cards are bound to spur philosophical debate. With ⚞196⚟ discussion cards total, your students' group discussions will be inspiring--you're going to love listening in!

Ooooh, speed discussion? That sounds like fun! I'm so glad to hear that this worked out well with your 8th graders. That' definitely a younger crowd than what I made this for, but as well all know so much depends on how the teacher presents the material, which you obviously did exactly how your students need it. Thank you for your positive review. I really appreciate it! ^_^

^_^ How fantastic! I'm so happy that these discussion cards worked out well for you and your students. I've always preferred to listen to my students discuss, debate, and even argue about any book we've read rather than having them fill out a study guide. It sounds like you are the same. Kindred spirit! :) Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Have a wonderful day!
