Implementing Interactive Math Journals in my classroom entirely CHANGED the way I teach math. I found the greatest successes in my students and believe that all students are more engaged, more knowledgeable, and more confident mathematicians by implementing journals.
Measurement and Data Journal Includes:
*Detailed Notes and Set Up for the Teacher
*Interactive Activities explanations for the Teacher
*Journal Directions to be glued into student journal covers
*16 Geometry interactive activities (to be completed, cut out and glued) for student journals
*3 sheets of Differentiated Prompt Labels for each standard: Below, At, Above - 33 total prompts
Geometry Journal Includes:

Journal prompts are aligned to Common Core Standards for 2nd grade and can guide your instruction (ideal for teachers who do not have a Common Core aligned math curriculum). Activities are cut and paste, but do not require cutting many tiny pieces (too time consuming). Academic Vocabulary charts are included WITH definitions (students cut and paste them with appropriate terms). I have also included sheets of paper, hands-on manipulatives - kids can keep these in an envelope in their journals to use when they need them!

This journal has the best of intentions, and it would be a great activity for students that are on grade level with solid reading skills (yes, math takes reading and comprehension). However, I found that with my students, I was providing moderate to heavy support for an activity that I was hoping could have been utilized as a more independent table activity or rotation.
