2nd Grade Math Cookies Daily Bite-Sized Math Problems Common Core Aligned
Batch 1
Math cookies are one common core aligned math problem that students can do to assess or practice their math knowledge!
Math cookies can be used in many different ways…
-as a fast finisher
-as a daily math warm up
-as a ticket out the door at the end of the day
-as a mini assessment
-as homework practice
-as a great review for testing
-as a booklet of math problems to do
-as a math hunt with them taped up around the room
-as a math scoot where students go from desk to desk answering the problems
Ingredients…
This batch of math cookies contains cookies that align with all the 2nd Grade Common Core math standards in:
-Number and Operations in Base Ten
20 pages of cookies x 6 cookies on a page = 120 cookies in this batch
Instructions…
1. Cut the cookies apart.
2. The more chocolate chips a cookie has, the more difficult that math problem is. This makes differentiation easy!
3. Have a special place for students to put their completed cookies (like a cookie jar).
4. Refer to the footer to see how each problem aligns with the common core.
5. Choose an effective way to use the cookies every day.
6. Have fun!
There are two versions of each cookie page--one without a place for names and one with a place for students to write their name.
My students LOVE doing Math Cookies every day! I hope your students do too!
