Description

I created this resource so that my students could work independently in the mornings to review important math skills while I took attendance, checked homework and got ready for the day.

In order to save paper and time, I print them on different colors and place them in sheet protectors so my students can write on them with dry erase markers and use them over and over again! No need to spend a ton of time prepping each day!

This resource includes 8 reproducibles that reinforce 2nd and 3rd grade math skills using a number of the day. Just tell the students which sheet to complete, give them a number of the day and they do the rest on their own! This leaves you free to take attendance or do anything else you need to do in the mornings!

You could also use these as part of an independent math center and/or as an informal assessment.

Skills included are:

*Number words

*Number bonds

*Ten Frames

*Ways to make a number

*Tallies

*Coins/Money

*Base-10

*Greater than/less than

*Skip counting by 2s, 5s, 10s

*Number grid

*Place value

*Expanded notation

*Rounding to the nearest 10 and 100

*Digital and analog time

*Mental math- adding and subtracting 10 and 100

*Arrays

*Multiplication/division fact families

Also included is a guide for each sheet so that you know which numbers work best with the sheet (i.e. numbers beyond 100, numbers that are a product of two numbers, etc.), a picture of each sheet with examples filled in, and the Common Core standards covered with each sheet.
