Here is a standards-based unit on Understanding Division to use with your 3rd Graders! The lessons are based around the Common Core Standards. I have included: (1) an essential question, (2) learning goal, (3) learning scale, (4) drill practice centered around previously taught benchmarks, (5) lessons that follow the Gradual Release Model (i.e. "I do, We do, You do" model).
