3rd Grade Valentine's Math | Multi Step Word Problems, Telling Time & Fractions
Share

Description

Students will solve the math problems in order to generate a silly story- similar to a mad lib.

In this February math activity, students will practice telling time to the minute, comparing fractions, basic multiplication and multistep word problems in a fun and motivating way. The correct answers will generate a silly story themed around the month of February and Valentine's Day. This is a much more fun approach to regular task cards, and the students really enjoy reading the silly stories once they've solved the math problems. They get very excited to see what this month's silly story brings.

Simply post the task cards around the room or place them in a basket for math centers and let the math fun begin.

I included both color and black and white versions, as well as, a digital version.
