Description

This is a collection of lessons created to address the 4.G.2 common core standard for fourth grade.

The lessons include:

-Identifying basic two-dimensional shapes (triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, octagon) and their features.

-Differentiating between geometric features including: points, lines, line segments, rays, angles, parallel lines, and perpendicular lines.

-Strategies for finding angle types within shapes.

-Strategies for finding parallel and perpendicular lines within shapes.

-Using a geoboard to make two-dimensional shapes.

-Differentiating between triangles (scalene, isosceles, equilateral, right, acute, obtuse).

There are 63 slides in this file, which should last you approximately one week. The practice problems at the end of each session/lesson can be used as a common assessment.
