Looking for differentiated homework? A continued review/spiral activity during centers? Review for STAAR? Would you like to have your students work on problems that align directly to the content you are teaching and spiral back previously taught concepts? I have created 12 choice board sheets (over 80 questions!!!!) that cover the following fourth grade skills:

Perimeter and area, classifying 2D shapes, measuring angles with protractors, reading protractors, solving measurement problems, conversions, identifying geometric terms

Reporting Category 2 concepts are spiraled back throughout these boards as well.

*This is the third set that I created.

You can find the first set here: Spiral Choice Boards Set 2

The second set here: Spiral Choice Boards Set 2

The fourth set here: Spiral Choice Boards Set 4

Or better yet, purchase all 4 sets in the bundle and save $ : All 4th Grade Spiral Choice Boards BUNDLED

What’s in the download?

Choice boards 1 -3 cover TEK 4.5D, 4.5C– board 1: perimeter only, board 2: area only, board 3: mixture of area and perimeter

Choice board 4: 4.6C

Choice boards 5 & 6: 4.7C, 4.7D

Choice board 7: 4.7E

Choice board 8: 4.7A, 4.7B (not included in assessed curriculum)

Choice board 9: 4.6A, 4.6B,

Choice board 10: 4.6D

Choice board 11: 4.8A, 4.8B

Choice board 12: 4.8C

All questions are open-ended (no multiple choice). Student will have to show their work and/or justify their answers. There are many models where students will either analyze and write equations or fill in the models to match equations and word problems. Answer keys are provided for student self-check or teacher quick check.

There is a page that can be printed for students to show their work if needed since space on some sheets is limited.

I use these as weekly homework for my fourth grade special education students where they do a few a night and the entire sheet is due on Friday when we go over it. But you can also use them for an independent check in, centers, assessments, intervention, warm-up, etc. If used as a weekly homework choice/tic-tac-toe board, these will last you for 12 weeks!!

Answer keys are attached, a blank template for students to show their work on as well

Friendly reminder: Be sure to choose to print in landscape format!

GREAT PRODUCT

This resource was a fantastic addition to my classroom! My students were highly engaged from start to finish, which always tells me a product is doing something right. The structure made it very easy to implement with minimal prep, and the directions were clear enough that students could work independently when needed. I also appreciated the level of rigor built into the activities. The tasks pushed students to think critically and apply their learning rather than just completing surface-level work. What I loved most was how naturally the engagement and rigor worked together. Students were excited to participate, yet they were still being challenged academically. The layout and organization also made it simple to integrate into my lesson plans without having to modify much. Overall, this is a well-designed, classroom-friendly resource that balances ease of use with meaningful learning opportunities. My students genuinely enjoyed it, and I will definitely continue using it in the future. Highly recommend for teachers looking for engaging and rigorous activities!

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
